Announcement to Individuals, Congregations, and ministry partners of Great Rivers Fellowship
Dear Friends in Christ,
We write to inform you of an important transition within our Great Rivers Fellowship community. Rev. Brittany Caldwell, who has faithfully served as our Coordinator of Community Engagement, has separated from her position due to financial constraints facing our organization.
We are deeply grateful for Brittany’s dedicated service and the significant contributions she has made. Her ministry has touched many lives, and we appreciate the positive impact she has had on the mission and ministry of Great Rivers Fellowship.
Our role as the Executive Committee is to provide oversight to the staff and leadership to our regional organization to help position us in the best way possible to fulfill our mission. This duty has led us to the decision we have made and are announcing today.
The hopes and aspirations for Great Rivers Fellowship were based on an expected level of income which has not been realized. The financial realities in our region do not support our ability to maintain both a Coordinator of Community Engagement role and a Coordinator of Ministry role.
So, we have made the hard decision to eliminate the Coordinator of Community Engagement position. The ongoing ministry of Great Rivers Fellowship will be coordinated by Rev. Shane McNary.
While this decision has been excruciatingly hard, the GRF Executive Committee believes this action is necessary to help GRF establish the solid financial footing required as it seeks to engage in innovative partnership and ministry with individuals, churches, and organizations across Mississippi, Louisiana, and Arkansas.
We believe strongly in Great Rivers Fellowship’s future. We are thankful for your continued faithful financial support. Building upon the good work we have already begun, rightsizing our budget will enable us to invest more in transformative mission and ministry across our region and beyond.
